from what i know the ones on the right are 15 x 6.5 ouragan wheels. the ones on the left are just a pic i found claiming to be 15 x 6.6. the sl434s have a deeper lip and little gussets on each spoke. plus the 434 have 8 spokes and the ouragan have 9 spokes? i may be able to get a set but was just curious if others had tried them out. you dont see too many 15" ones they all seem to be 16" nimrods?

The one on the left looks like a 16" nimrod (as seen on the 206)

I second that.
Last time i spoke to Jr20516v, he had a pair on one of his 205's and said they look really good.
Although I think he mentioned that they needed rear spaces to fit but don't quote me on that.

i spoke to jr a few weeks ago and yes he does have the 16" ones but the ones i can get are 15"?

I think you might find that these are 16s. 206 GTI wheels? I look into some for my 205 and low and behold they were 16s.

Are there 15s of these wheels?

Chris

I stand corrected, they do indeed have 9 spokes. I've never heard of 15" nimrods made by Peugeot, so would be very interested to see what they look like on a 205. I reckon they'd look good, the 205 looks great with the 16" nimrods.

Interesting stuff they have on that website!

you have the ones that go on a 206 gti

they don't fit a 205 like that. You'll need a spacer or adapter in order to let it fit

however, these wheels where also fitted on a 406 sport. These alloys have another ET (offset) value than those used on a 206 and can be placed without any problem on a 205.

Where to buy?

So just to confirm, you're saying that pic shows the 406 15" Ouragan wheels?

Think I found another pic here:

http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=118612&st=40

What offset are the 'correct' 406 sport 15"ouragan rims, so I know what to look for?

According to this thread I found, I think the offset would be 20:

http://www.106owners.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?98956-106-GTi-New-wheel-content!

So everything is pointing to those ones mentioned at the top of the thread fitting ok!

I think they look fantastic on that Miami Blue 205. I'd be tempted to powdercoat them black though...

for a 1.9 gti the offset is 19mm

for a 406 the offset is 20mm

for a 206 the offset is 28mm (that's why you need a spacer to make them fit to a 205).

other pictures of the same car that is used as a track day car:

They actually look better in the flesh on the 205....more so than photos. It is correct that you require 10mm spacers on the rear to get the 16s to fit. The front does not require any changes. 195 tyres are preferred to keep the rolling diameter.

thanks for the feedback guys, Jurgen the pics helped out heaps. im not sure if they look good or not? i think that they are the sort of wheel that you would have to buy paint and put on the car before you would know if you like them or not.

They come up forsale on Ebay UK - they were fitment on late model D9 "Rapier" spec 406's!

Just to confuse the issue, you can even get 14" rims for the 206 (ie. the wrong offset for a 205) in this style.

They came on the "special edition" XRS versions locally.

IMHO this wheel design looks crappy in either 14 or 15's [unlike the chunky Speedlines] however they do look awesome in 16's.
I have pics of the 16's on a 205....if anyone is interested i can send them to you if you PM me your email addie.::)

If those pics on the miami blue are 15"s they look pretty sweet to me. But I've seen several 205s with the 16"s and I must admit it's probably one of the best looking wheel options out there. Any chance you can put up a couple of your pics on this thread?

Not wanting to open a new can of worms here, but don't 16" rims ruin the handling of a GTI? And aren't the 16" Ouragans the wrong offset, further messing with the suspension geometry?
